My Challenge with 2020
In 2020 I was a senior in highschool, about to gradute and go off to college. Then there was this virus going around... you might have heard of it. It was called Covid-19. March came around and we were told that we had to take two weeks off of school, but that we would be back. Two weeks past, and we did not go back. Classes were online and everyone was at home. This virus was all over the world and all over the news too. No one really knew what was going on, how it spread, or how serious it really was. This caused me to become really anxious.
I was trying to get through the last stretch of highschool while living through a global pandemic, and having awful anxiety. It seems so odd to say it like that, but its true! Unfortunately this was not just my experience, but it was one of the most challenging years for me. I was able to graduate highschool, but not have a normal graduation. I tried to keep my self entertained by picking up new hobbies like working out, at home of course, doing nails and makeup, and watching a lot of Netflix.
I was able to get the anxiety under control by cutting out caffeine and doing things like yoga and meditation. Obviously the anxiety didn't just disappear, but it was more bearable. Now I do online school, by choice, and I love it! 2020 made me a much stronger, patient, and resilient person.
